PDC DESIGN GROUP
PDC Design Group was established as a continuation of the foundation built by Perunding Dayacipta, which was founded in 1985. Formed in January 2016, PDC represents a renewed direction and identity shaped by the shared dialogue and aspirations of three Kuching-based practices: Perunding Dayacipta, INTODESIGN Lab, and ChaiSiYong Architect. This partnership reflects continuity, collaboration, and an ongoing evolution in design thinking.
At PDC, we believe in “Architecture that Makes a Difference.” Our approach is grounded in the idea that architecture should enhance the quality of life, celebrate culture, and contribute meaningfully to the living environment.
We cultivate an integrated design environment where architecture, engineering, and human values come together. PDC’s commitment to quality has been recognised through multiple industry acknowledgements. The firm has received awards from PAM and PAMSC, with several projects shortlisted for the PAM Awards, and has also won Best Residential Project under SHEDA. These recognitions reflect our dedication to impactful, well-crafted, and meaningful architecture.
PDC Design Group is fully qualified and registered with the relevant professional and regulatory bodies. The firm is registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) and UPKJ. PDC is also qualified to undertake State Planning Authority submissions (ESPA) and submissions to the various local authorities.

Our Firm
PHILOSOPHY OF PRACTICE
The aim of the company is to achieve an integrated group working relationship who are concerned for the Architectural and Engineering qualities of a built environment and at the same time, satisfy the various aspects of the social, economic and aesthetic considerations.
The client’s brief, technical requirements, budget control and other constraints must be fully discussed, understood and agreed on by the project team from conception to completion of the commission. These works within a framework of a professional consortium, which provides services related to site selection, master planning, design development and documentation, project management and post-construction management.
Our philosophy of group practice also extends to working with other consultants of the building team whereby the resources, energy and talent can be tapped to the fullest to provide a broader approach and design considerations for the project we undertake. In the event of a need for specialist skills, we are able to engage one of our overseas counterparts on an ad hoc working arrangement.
It is PDC Design Group Sdn Bhd policy to maintain the capability of flexible response to changing circumstances and needs within the whole range of building procurement. PDC Design Group Sdn Bhd is therefore able to act as a Prime Consultant where applicable or to work within a team of professionals as required.
