Ar. IDr. Lau Chun Leong holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Architecture from Taylor’s University and a Master of Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Since returning to Kuching, he has been actively engaged in both architectural practice and community service. He is a Registered Architect and Registered Interior Designer with the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM), a Corporate Member of the Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), and a Qualified Person under the State Planning Authority (SPA) Sarawak.

In 2023, he was appointed as a Director of PDC Design Group Sdn Bhd, where he continues to demonstrate strong leadership, dedication, and professional integrity. He currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) for the 2025–2026 term. With extensive experience in project management, he ensures every project maintains its design intent while achieving the highest standards of quality and coordination. 

Beyond his professional role, Ar. IDr. Lau is deeply committed to community work. He serves as a Member and Director Consultant for BNI (Business Network International) Kuching Region and Advisor for the BNI Kuching Regional Events Council, Treasurer of Che Hia Khor Moral Uplifting Society, and Committee Member of several community organizations, including the Sarawak Buddhist Association, Sarawak Buddhist Association Kindergarten, and Lim Fah San Chinese Monastery. He also contributes as an Industry Advisory Panel Member for Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).

In recognition of his contributions to the profession, he was named one of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia’s “40 Under 40” Emerging Architects, honoring his passion, skill, and dedication to architectural excellence. He believes that architecture holds a larger purpose — bridging culture, community, and the built environment to shape a more meaningful and sustainable society.
