Sathai Admin & Accommodation Block Kuching

The Sathai Admin & Accommodation Block combines office and accommodation spaces in a green setting in Kuching, Sarawak. The design responds to the tropical climate by providing natural ventilation, daylight, and views of the surrounding greenery.

The building is arranged in simple blocks connected by open corridors. The raised ground floor provides shaded parking and shared spaces while allowing air to flow through the site. A pitched roof with wide overhangs protects the building from rain and sunlight while giving a modern interpretation of traditional Sarawak roof forms. White walls, vertical fins, large windows, and balconies help reduce heat while providing comfortable spaces for work, rest, and interaction with nature.
